Wiktor Pacan completed the 1st and 2nd degree F. Chopin State Music School
in Bytom under mgr Gerard Przybyła and dr Kamil Pawłowski. Currently he has completed the 1st year in the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice under Waldemar Tarnowski.
He participated actively in many orchestra projects in Poland and abroad, such as: Orkester Norden in Denmark, the Young Philharmonic in Munich,
the Silesian Symphony Orchestra and the Academic Symphony Orchestra
of the Academy of Music in Katowice. He has improved his skills on workshops and music classes e.g. in Prades (France), Lusławice, Łomża, Wrocław, Katowice provided by e.g. Bogusław Furtok, Jurek Dybał, Miloslav Jelinek and Jan Kotula.
In 2017 he made the Polish premiere performance of the 1st and 2nd part
of Sonata 1963 for the Double Base and Piano in the orchestra version with the Polish Youth Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Maciej Tomasiewicz. During breaks taken from classical music he is interested in widely understood popular music, sailing and motor sports.
His most significant double bass achievements include: the 3rd prize in the Transregional Double Base Competition, the 1st prize during
the National T. Pelczar Double Base Competition, and twice the 3rd prize
in the Polish Double Base Meetings.
