Katarzyna Podwińska began her music education at the age of 6 in the Stanisław Moniuszko Music School in Wałbrzych. She is a graduate of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, where she studied in the class of dr hab. Irena Olkiewicz. She is currently studying at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy
of Music in Gdańsk in the class of prof. Leszek Sokołowski. She has participated several times in concerts and music festivals in Poland and abroad. She has given concerts with the European Academic Symphonic Orchestra
in the National Music Forum in Wrocław, the Concert Hall of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice and in the Carl Maria von Weber College of Music in Dresden. Together with the Symphonic Orchestra of the Gdańsk Music Academy under the baton of prof. Zygmunt Rychert she took part
in recording of the concert version of the opera “The Haunted Manor”.
She participated actively in the 3rd Contemporary Music Festival Nowe Fale (New Waves), where with the ensemble of students and doctoral students
of the Instrumental Studies Department under the baton of Rei Munakata she performed Tatjana Kozlova’s “White Bird.” She has also taken part in the 2nd edition of the programme “Music of Our Times” where with the ensemble she performed a piece of Kamil Kruk entitled “Adolescere.” She participated
in the Eurochestries Festival in the area of France and Slovakia, the Crazy Days of Music Festival in Warsaw and in the project with Polish-German Young Philharmonic. She has improved her skills in workshops and master classes supervised by renowned professors such as: Jörg Linowitzki, Klaus Trumpf, Miloslav Jelínek, Thomas Martin, Zsolt Fejérvári, and Miloslav Gajdoš.
