Joanna Lusaka is a graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music
in Katowice where she studied in the bassoon class of prof. Marek Barański.
In 2013, she graduated from the 2nd degree Karol Szymanowski State Music School in Katowice in the class of mgr Zbigniew Stolarz.
She has won the following prizes in music competitions: distinction in the 10th International Interpretative Competition for Wind Instruments in Brno, finalist title in 9th International Competition for Wind Instruments in Jastrzębie-Zdrój (2012), 3rd place in 4th W. Osadzin and E. Mandera National Competition for Bassoon and Oboe in Bytom (2011) and distinction in the 17th Silesian Competition for Wind Instruments ‘Wood for the Youngest’ in Dąbrowa Górnicza (2010).
Joanna Liszka has won numerous prizes in chamber music competitions, including the 2nd place in the 19th International Chamber Music Competition
in Jawor 2017, distinction in the classic quintet category in the 11th National Competition for Chamber Ensembles of Wind Instruments (Warsaw, 2017)
and 1st prize in the 3rd Interacademic Chamber Competition for Instrumental Duos and Vocal Duos in Kraków (2016).
Joanna Liszka has taken part in many music courses, e.g. Summer Music Academy at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Music Centre in Lusławice with the musicians of Scharoun Ensemble Berlin.
She has cooperated with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra
in Katowice, AUKSO Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy and Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra.
