Dominic Molnar was born on 29 October 1995 in Aylesbury in the United Kingdom. He began to play the French horn at the age of 8 under prof. István Szilágyi in Szentendre (Hungary). Then he continued his education under
the guidance of Pálma Szilágyi in Budapest. He has participated in master classes run by distinguished French horn players, e.g.: Szabolcs Zempléni, David Johnson, Stefan Dohr, Martin Owen and Anneke Scott. In 2013, he won the 2nd prize at the 11th National Competition for French Horn Players in Budapest.
In 2015, he moved to Berlin in order to study in the class of Marie-Luise Neunecker at the Hanns Eisler Hochschule für Musik. Since then, he has performed with leading orchestras from all over the world, such as: DSO Berlin, Konzerthaus Berlin, Karajan-Akademie Berliner Philharmoniker, Brandenburger Symphoniker, Staatstheater Braunschweig and Wiener Domorchester.
