Adam Ostrowski was born on 3 September 1997 in Łódź. He studies in the bassoon class of prof. Zbigniew Płużek at the Fryderyk Chopin University
of Music in Warsaw. He has participated in master classes run by such bassoonists as: Matthias Rácz, Václav Vonášek, Laurent Lefèvre, Robin O’Neill, Meyrick Alexander, Jarosław Augustyniak, Krzysztof Kamiński, Grzegorz Dąbrowski, Artur Kasperek, Arkadiusz Adamczyk, Dorota Cegielska. In 2015,
he became the principal bassoonist of Łódź Region Youth Symphony Orchestra Sinfonietta. He has cooperated with the following orchestras: Polish Camerata, Symphony Orchestra of the Warmia and Mazury Philharmonic, Chopin Chamber Orchestra. He plays in wind quintet called Hybrid Quintet.
His achievements include: 3rd place at the 6th Wiktor Osadzin and Edward Mandera National Bassoon and Oboe Festival in Bytom (2015), Grand Prix at the 7th Interschool Competition for Wind Instruments in Żyrardów (2015), distinction at the International Competition for Wind Instruments in Jastrzębie-Zdrój (2014), distinction at the 1st Świętokrzyski Festival for Wind Instrument Classes in 1st Degree Music Schools in Kielce (2012), participation in National Auditions for Students in Woodwind Instrument Classes in 1st Degree Music Schools (prize winner at Macroregional Auditions at the Artistic Education Centre, 2011) and 1st degree distinction in the 3rd Interprovincial Competition for Polish Miniature Performance in Kutno (2011).
