Spisak – this year: violin, viola and oboe

The 11th edition of the Competition is directed to instrumentalists playing violin, viola, oboe. This extraordinary musical festival will take place at Zagłębie Palace of Culture on 14-23 September 2017.

Zagłębie Palace of Culture, the Municipality of Dabrowa Gornicza and Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice announces the recruitment of the 11th edition of the Michal Spisak International Music Competition.

The competition over the years has become a place for honing young masters of instruments, opening the way for international career for students from all over the world.The first step to get a master title is submitting an application by 16 June 2017.

This may be done by any instrumentalist under 30 years of age. This year, people playing violins, violas and oboes have a chance of their lives. Young musicians will compete in these three specialties , presenting their talents before the international jury consisting of respected educators and professionals.

Winners of the competition of the most famous composer in Dąbrowa gain not only the title and the opportunity to perform with the Symphony Orchestra of the Zabrze Philharmonic in front of a large audience, but also receive a cash prize, for the 1st place – 12 thousand PLN!
